The flamboyant, fantastical and unfathomable Irrepressibles are set to release their stunning new debut album Mirror Mirror. Led by composer and artist Jamie McDermott, the band are a ten piece performance orchestra that, through the power of their instruments can transport and transfix, break moulds and collide worlds.
Fusing European orchestration with pop melodies and soaring cathartic vocals, Mirror Mirror is a theatrical, playful and emotionally passionate album. From the dramatic opener My Friend Jo to the galloping rhythms of Anvil, from the yearning echoes of Forget The Past through to the intensely intimate In This Shirt, the album is a beautifully constructed exploration of McDermott’s stories of love, anger, lust and loss.
The Irrepressibles sound has been compared to early David Bowie and Kate Bush however Mirror Mirror is quite unlike anything you have heard before. As the album unfolds there is so much more to discover, enchanting musical offerings that hold surprises at every turn.
Autumn Gray formed in 2005 and released an E.P ‘As of Now, No Guarantees for Later’ shortly after. Based in Melbourne, they’ve been gigging in the surrounding area ever since.

They’ve been working on ‘The Diary of a Falling Man’ for two years now and have kept the recording process truly independent with no budget, building the recording studio in a ramshackle sharehouse and commandeering a Steinway piano for a guerilla recording session.
Fighting Fiction’s debut EP ‘A Lesser Of Two Evils’ is a powerful collision of indie rock guitar riffs, reggae tinged punk and socially aware lyrics. These are songs written with anger and sung with an amazing passion.
The Bristol based foursome evoke an honest and fundamentally English sound that is reminiscent of the brooding reggae guitar hooks of The Clash, the lyrical and vocal delivery of Billy Bragg and more recently the sing-a-long sensibilities of The King Blues. A buoyant energy shines throughout the album and the sheer youthfulness of gang vocal infused choruses and hook lines show the listener these songs are made to be sung back at them.

A ten track masterpiece, Technology is a Dead Bird is an album in its finest form. Two of these tracks could be considered interludes but they really make the album a fluid listening experience.
Technology is a Dead Bird is a subtly haunting work. The unnerving ‘Fitter Happier’ style monologues add to the overall feeling of this album; a somewhat apocalyptic undertone of the quietus of the human mind.

Since rising to prominence seven years ago with the spirited, electro-tinged, indie-pop of their Mercury-nominated debut, ‘Vehicles And Animals’, Athlete have established themselves among the UK’s finest songsmiths. The south east Londoners have sold more than a million copies of their three hit albums (the other two being 2005′s ‘Tourist’ and 2007′s ‘Beyond The Neighbourhood’), packed out venues across the land; picked up an Ivor Novello award; and topped both the UK’s album and airplay charts.
Athlete worked on their new album ‘Black Swan’ with esteemed American producer Tom Rothrock (Foo Fighters, Elliot Smith, Elbow, Beck), who’d been convinced to come along for the ride after falling in love with some acoustic demos. Together they made an album which positively glows with snagging melodies, rich musicality and the band’s heartfelt tales of their own black swan events. The album kicks off with the hurtling FM rush of glorious first single, ‘Superhuman Touch’, which catapults the album into life with the opening line, “I’m on fire and nothing’s gonna hold me back”. ‘Black Swan’ is released on CD, Deluxe CD (with bonus disc of new tracks) and Vinyl LP and features art taken from a painting by Natasha Kissell.
